When rapper Nicki Minaj burst onto the music scene everyone took note. The industry had been missing a female rapper for so long and Nicki’s fierce and raunchy lyrics launched her into the spotlight, all thanks to Lil Wayne who laid off the sizzurp long enough get some work done and sign her.
She has dominated the charts since the release of album Pink Friday and has a legion of fans she christened ‘Barbz’ who stay loyal even if she did change direction and start singing about how starships were meant to fly. Nicki Minaj loves to experiment with her look and has worn some pretty outlandish outfits in her time but her trademark bubblegum pink lips would always complete her signature look. Nicki Minaj rehearsing without makeup is very different to her usual heavily made up look. It’s a shock to see what her actual eyes look like for once without a ton of cosmetics covering them.
The photo below shows Nicki before her Barbie transformation looking totally natural and she looks great. Without the bold lip color, layers of mascara or liner, her natural beauty shines through. Her skin is in great condition without having been smeared in foundations of shimmers. Something tells me that Nicki is not willing to give up her favorite lipstick just yet.
