Does Jay-Z have leftover animosity for Camron? Possibly, according to Killah Cam.
The beef, which dates back more than a decade, might not be over because Jay allegedly banned all Dipset music from playing in his 40/40 Clubs, Cam revealed in an MTV interview. "If you go to the 40/40 club, you're not allowed to play Dipset music," he said.
"It's ridiculous. I got DJs who DJ in there who are my people,who want to play our music and get requested to play them but are not allowed to play. That's makes me be like,''Wow what happen to diplomats in music.The two MCs have dissed each other in rhyme over the years, which may have carried over into Jay's verse on Drake's "Pound Cake",where he name checks the Harlemite, rapping, "I've done made more millionaires that the lotto did/ Lyor made millions, Cam made millions. He didn't take the reference as a lyrical jab, but given the years that have gone by (and Jay's wealth), Cam thinks it's time to move on. "If I had $500 million nothing can make me mad," he advised. "But just for the simple fact that we get under your skin that much? Good, because we're that fly, we're that flashy, and we just that type of people to get you upset, but I don't have any problem with him.
Cam may not be as far under Jay's skin as he thinks though. A 40/40 rep refuted the allegation, telling MTV News, "There's no rule set that determines what music can and cannot being played in the 40/40 Club. Our DJs understand what our crowd is looking to hear when they come to Jay's Club."
